Below are 5 card poker hands in order of rank. While the highest ranked hand, the Royal Flush, is the highest ranking poker hand, you regularly see the pot being won with a high card.

Obviously, experienced players have no need check a poker hand rank pictorial. This is for the really, really, incredibly new poker player, such as me in the not-so-distant past. A very nice hand to have, since others are likely to be thinking they have a winning with a simple flush or a straight =big pot.
3. Four of a Kind

Self explanatory, 4 of a kind consists of 4 cards of equal rank.

Another rare and amazing hand to have. However, unless someone has a full house using the pair on board, the pots are likely to be disappointing.
4. Full House
Full House

A full house - also called a "boat" is a five card hand consisting of a pair and a set (three of a kind).

5. Flush
Flush

A flush is a 5 card hand all of a singe suit.

6. Straight
Poker Hand Straight

A straight is 5 cards in sequence, according to rank.

7. Three of a Kind

Also called a "set", Three cards of the same rank. In a showdown where two players have a set, the highest ranked set wins.

8. Two Pairs


Two pairs, any rank. In the event of a showdown, the holder of the highest ranking pair wins.
9. Pair
two pair

Two cards of the same rank.

10. High Card
Self Explanatory...Where there are no better hands, the hand with the highest rank card wins. If there is a tie for highest card, the second highest card determines the winner - and so on.
