How to Play Tri Card Poker (Three Card Poker)
A slight twist on Caribbean Stud Poker, Tricard Poker is played with three card hands. The object, of course, is to beat the dealer's hand.
BettingThe player has two betting options: The Pair Plus bet ANT/OR the Anti bet. Obviously, the Pair Plus bet pays back on a hand with a pair or better! The Anti bet is a little more complicated - it does not necessarily pay out on a hand with a pair or better. After the initial bets and receiving his/her hand, the player decides whether to raise or fold based on the cards dealt. Folding loses both the Anti AND the Pair bet (if both were wagered on) and the game is over. If the player raises, the dealer's hand is revealed and a winner determined.
If the dealer's hand doesn't qualify, the best ranking hand wins. If the dealer's hand is higher, the player loses both the ante bet and the raise bet. If the player's hand is higher, the player wins 1 to 1 on both the ante and raise bets, and wins the raise bet according the the casino's pay schedules. If the player's hand contains a straight, three of a kind, or a straight flush, he is paid a bonus on top of the winnings.
In the case of a tie, both the ante bet and the raise bet are pushed.
