How to Play Let it Ride Poker

Let it Ride Poker is is a very easy, basic poker game that gives out some nice, big pots when you win.

Originally developed to attract slot players, Let it Ride was the first real Poker game I played online, (way before multiplayer poker games, such as Texas Holdem, were becoming popular), and I find that it's still on my list of favorite casino games to play. The objective in Let it Ride Poker is to put together a three card hand consisting of at least a pair of tens or better. Pairs, sets, runs and flushes give nice returns. To make your hand, you have 3 cards dealt face up to you, and a two card community hand, facing down.

Anyone familiar with poker, be it video poker or Texas Holdem, will have learn the basic strategy of Let It Ride easily.

Game Play

• The game is played with a one standard 52 card deck, and three betting circles.
• There are two ways to go about betting. One way is to make all your bets at the start, and then to either pull a bet or leave it in (Let it Ride) at each betting round. The most common method is to make all your bets before the cards are dealt, one bet per betting circle, placing three bets of equal amounts, one per circle. Three cards are then dealt, face up. Two more cards are placed down in the dealer's circle.
• If you don't see a pair or much potential in the cards you've been dealt, you may take back the bet in the first circle, which leaves only two live bets at risk. If you've been dealt a pair ranked 10 or better, you definitely will want to Let it Ride.
• Once you've completed your betting round, the dealer will reveal one of the community cards. If this card doesn't improve your hand, you may pull another bet from the circle. If you have a hand, you will Let it Ride.
• The dealer then draws the second community card.
• Once again, you decide, based on the 5 cards available, whether you have a hand or not, and either pull a bet or "let it ride".
